Day 45/3-27-2010/Saturday

First, there were errands and then a stop at Raising Canes. I love Raising Canes- I just with they would either offer a spicy chicken option or provide Tabasco. (The Sweetheart and I shared this one by the way, I did NOT eat all of that by myself.)

On the way back home we stopped so I could take a couple of photos of this destroyed/abandoned/forsaken building. I really don't think that toilet is in working order. This has to be a safety hazard.

Relaxing on my couch, wearing my orange shoes, writing an email to a friend, listening to Louis Armstrong. Yes indeed.

And then, we all four took a walk along the Bayou. I love my neighborhood. It is an oasis of green and water in the middle of a vibrant city. I feel like I have the very best of both worlds. While we were on our walk everything in my world felt peaceful, content and friendly.

The girls saying hello to the ducks.

The bridge was decorated in paper flowers and real flowers. Beautiful.

Making friends.

I had to take a picture of this, we were talking about Carnegie Steel in history class just a couple of weeks ago.

The littlest Munchkin wouldn't be still. She's never still- my little jitterbug.

I am a funny mommy, I kept making her laugh.

Self portraits in the wind with slow shutter speeds.

The Sweetheart.

Can you feel how quiet and peaceful my neighborhood can be at night? I love it- it's balm to the part of my soul that will always miss country nights.

I'm not usually big on selective color but we are talking ORANGE shoes here people. So, I'm throwing this one in just for the fun of it.
